The Love of a Son

There once lived a boy who, at 10 years of age, brought his mom much joy.

His sister went away to school, and his momma was very sad.  This young boy had watched his mom cry at different times the year before his sister left, and he knew his mom needed some extra hugs and encouragement once his sister left.

So he did exactly that:  he stepped up and filled a lot of the gap that his sister had left.  And his mom smiled more than she thought she would.  And thanked God for giving her this sweet son who was quick to show love.

When the little boy was four, his momma spent many hours worrying about how her little guy was turning out.  Turns out his momma had wasted a lot of time worrying over stupid things in those early days.

A sweet friend sent this picture to the mom, and the mom's heart melted over and over as she wished she could go back in time and do some things differently.

 

But the mom is thankful that there is the sweetness of today, and new mercies from God each morning, and young sons with big brown eyes and tender hearts.
