Thanking God for...
Getting to hear Mem play the piano while I work around the house. Many songs, because she's been playing for 10 years now. And being able to listen without any other noises going on.
For these: "...now, in his despair, [Digory] looked up at [Aslan's] face. What he saw surprised him as much as anything in his whole life. For the tawny face was bent down near his own and (wonder of wonders) great shining tears stood in the Lion's eyes. They were such big, bright tears compared with Digory's own that for a moment he felt as if the Lion must really be sorrier about his mother than he was himself." (Lewis had such a way of describing God's character...)
And also: (from Aslan) "Oh Adam's sons, how cleverly you defend yourselves against all that might do you good!" How that one sentence pierces this fearful, weak heart. That is good medicine for me.
Thankful for the "aHA!" moment from a young someone at the end, when the origin of the wardrobe and the identity of the professor is revealed. Moments like this one re-energize me for schooling.
